SPOOKY SHELVES | A SPINE-TINGLING DISPLAY
This year, We wanted to give this bookshelf a spooky makeover, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out! From skulls to vintage books and even a severed hand under a glass cloche, it’s the perfect mix of creepy and stylish.
In designing our spooky bookshelf, we embraced a color palette of black, cream, fleshy pink, and gold, creating a sharp contrast that sets the tone for our haunting display. The materials include body parts, vintage-style eyeball orbs, and a gold-framed mirror that adds a touch of elegance. We incorporated a little witchcraft with books of spells, scary stories and demon hands for a playful twist. Black moss and dried baby's breath were added to bring the bookcases as sense of life. Thick spider webs weave through every shelf completing the spooooky arrangement.
Bones are complemented by vintage curiosities like eyeball orbs, anatomy drawings, and a severed hand inside a cloche.
Demon hands creep out from between the books, while eyeball orbs gaze out from the shelves. The dried baby’s breath brought some height to the composition and was a nice delicate pairing to the dainty skeleton in the cloche. We cannot get enough of these eyeball orbs!
